ABOUT PYRAMID:
Founded in 1981 in Baltimore by artist and educator Helen Frederick, Pyramid Atlantic was established as a working community studio providing subsidized space and equipment to local and national artists, as well as educational workshops for those interested in getting started or developing new techniques. For nearly 40 years Pyramid has provided a creative, collaborative artistic community throughout several locations in Maryland. In June 2016, Pyramid moved into its 13,000 square foot historic facility in the Gateway Arts District in Hyattsville, MD, where it continues its mission to equip, educate, and exhibit, fostering the artistic disciplines of papermaking, printmaking and book arts. We value artistic excellence, infrastructure for artists, accessibility, hands-on experiences, and collaboration.
