Annual Poetry Reading to Commemorate the 2007 Bombing of Historic Book Market in Baghdad, Iraq

Pyramid Atlantic is pleased to be this year's venue for the annual poetry reading: Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here.

Since 2010, Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here DC has held an annual reading event in the month of March that commemorates the 2007 bombing of a historic book market in Baghdad, Iraq, with the goal of celebrating and educating the public on the value of the free exchange of ideas and knowledge.

The readings feature poets, artists, journalists, and activists committed to these values. This is an international project that has readings and events planned throughout the world. Please join us on the afternoon of March 19, 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Seating is limited; RSVP early to ensure your spot.
