Matching Gift Challenge: Gallery Expansion

Pyramid Atlantic is honored to be one of 5 sites receiving increased cultural tourism investment in Prince George’s County! Thanks to a $45,000 matching grant from Maryland Historical Trust and Anacostia Trails Heritage Area (ATHA), Pyramid can expand its gallery. But we need your help with the match!

You may already have seen this new space in action during HyBall, Press On, or Inside Out. When our subtenants departed, we took a quick step of knocking down a wall and slapping on a coat of paint to start using the space immediately. However, it is not sustainable as-is. This funding is an incredible opportunity to work on the space’s infrastructure, including installing gallery lighting, art storage, uv window protection, and moveable gallery walls. The result will be more thoughtful and flexible space for exhibits, workshops, classes, meetings, and events.

We have secured $35,000 from an anonymous donor who believes that our work is important to the community and that this space is an exciting asset to Pyramid and the larger DMV art scene!
